Taiwan’s functional agencies announced that they are investigating and clarifying the case, temporarily stopping to grant visas for International Holidays Trading Travel, the agency that brought the visitors to Taiwan in the case.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked the Department of Tourism and other related domestic agencies to join hand to address the case and not let it affect tourism and exchange activities of the two sides’ citizens.

Earlier, tourist management agencies in Taiwan on December 25 reported that 152 among 153 people in a group tour from Viet Nam to Kaohsiung City were “missing”.

The tourist delegation was divided into four groups, landing in Kaohsiung City from December 21-23. However, the management agency in charge of the tourist delegation on December 25 reported to Taiwanese authorities that they can not determine the location of the group of visitors.
