French PM: France advocates signing EVFTA with VN

VGP – France always advocates Viet Nam regarding the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and expects the agreement will be soon inked and approved, asserted French PM Edouard Philippe at his meeting with National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on April 2.

At the meeting, Ms. Ngan highly spoke of the French PM’s visit to Viet Nam in 2018, announcing the outcomes of the working session between the Vietnamese NA high-ranking delegation and the French business delegation. 

The visits made by the two sides’ senior leaders have promoted politics-diplomacy cooperation as well as opened new prospects and opportunities for economic cooperation, she said, adding that Viet Nam attaches importance to cooperation with France in Europe. 

She said that her visit to France aims to work with the French President of the National Assembly and the President of the French Senate on the French Parliament advocating Viet Nam to promote the European Parliament to soon ratify the EVFTA.

For his side, PM Edouard Philippe supposed that the French businesses have experience in aeronautics and space and may expand cooperation with Viet Nam in this field. 

He expressed his delight on building the subway No.3 in Ha Noi and the French Space to be launched in Ho Chi Minh City.
