Foreign leaders send condolences over decease of former State President Le Duc Anh

VGP – Leaders from India, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and Japan extended condolences to the Vietnamese Party and State leaders and people and the family of former State President Le Duc Anh over the passing of the leader.

*Indian President Ram Nath Covind sent his condolences to Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong over the decease of former State President Le Duc Anh. 

In the letter, he expressed his sadness to hear that former State President Le Duc Anh passed away on April 22, 2019 and expressed his deep condolences to the Vietnamese Government and people and the family of Le Duc Anh. 

The decease of Anh is the huge loss to the Vietnamese Government and people. 

* President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assemblyof the DPRK Choe Ryong Hae telegraphed a message of condolences to Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong. 

In the message, he conveyed deep condolences to Trong, Vietnamese people and the family of Anh, highly appraising crucial contributions of Anh to the national development. 

*President of the UAE Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, PM cum Ruler of Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended their messages of condolences to Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong. 

* Sultan of Oman Qaboos Bin Said sent his condolences to Party leaders, State President Nguyen Phu Trong. 

*Japanese PM Shinzo Abe cabled a message of condolences to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc. 

On behalf of the Japanese Government and people, he sent his deep condolences to the Vietnamese Government and people and the family of Anh. The Japanese PM highly spoke of the huge contribution of former State President Anh to the national development. 

Japanese FM Taro Kono and Iranian FM Mohammad JavadZarif telegraphed their letters of condolences to Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh. 

*On May 3, a number of high-ranking delegations led by Cambodian PM Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Lao Front for National Construction Saysomphone Phomvihane, Cuban Minister of Communications Jorge Luis Perdomo Di Lella and Japanese Minister of Defense Takeshi Iwaya , Ambassadors, chargé d'affaires and representatives of the international organizations paid tribute to former State President Le Duc Anh.
