FAO gives rice seeds to three northern provinces

VGP – The PM approved on October 21 the project "Urgent donation of rice seeds to victims of Hurricane Kammuri in Việt Nam’s province of Phú Thọ, Yên Bái and Lào Cai" granted with a non-refundable aid of US $400,000 by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.

One day earlier, the Government chief also agreed that the Bắc Kạn Province People’s Committee would take over the project "Development of household economy through sustainable agricultural development in seven communes of Na Rì District, 2008-2011" financed with nearly VND 10 billion by the non-governmental organization ChildFund (Australia).
