Exports to Myanmar rise 16.8%

VGP – Vietnam’s exports to Myanmar reached US $20 million in the first quarter of this year, up 16.8% from the same period last year, according to the Vietnamese Trade Mission in Myanmar.

Key export lines included steel, garment accessories and materials, mosquito nets, fertilizers, construction materials, electrical equipment…

According to Myanmar customs statistics, two-way trade between the two countries was US $45 million in the first quarter, up 17.8%.

Việt Nam spent US $25 million importing Myanmar goods, up 18.6% over the corresponding period last year.
