The Deputy PM underlined the significance of the event, regarding this as a new step forward of Viet Nam’s oil and gas sector.

The Deputy PM presented the oil field’s operator – the Cuu Long Joint Operating Company with the Labor Order, second and third class.

Several individuals of the Petro Viet Nam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) were also awarded Friendship Order on the occasion.

According to PVEP General Director Do Van Khanh, the success of the project has opened up a new prospect for applying the technology to the exploration and exploitation of small near-shore oil fields in the Cuu Long Basin as well as in other areas.

This is the seven of this kind. Earlier, PVEP intended to exploit nine oil fields in 2014, he added/.
