Exhibition on VN’s seas, islands held in Moscow

The Ministry of Information and Communications has joined hand with the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia to organize an exhibition on Viet Nam’s seas and islands in Moscow, Russia from November 22-25

The event included five topics of seas-living space of the Vietnamese community, living with seas and islands, Viet Nam through press viewpoints, Viet Nam-Russia friendship and the essence of Viet Nam. 

The four-day exhibition features Viet Nam-themed stamps, maps, books and press publications.

Additionally, 20 paintings offer Russians a brief look at the nation’s formation, development and protection of sovereignty through each period.

Opening the event, Chargé d’affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia Nguyen Quynh Mai emphasized the importance of seas and islands to Viet Nam’s sovereignty, economy and history. 

She expressed her hope that the exhibition will help Russians understand more about the history, culture and traditions of the Vietnamese people, thereby helping enhance mutual understanding and the partnership between the two countries.

Nguyen Van Tao, Director of the Authority of Grassroots Information under Viet Nam’s Ministry of Information and Communications, said the exhibition aims to popularize the country’s images to international friends, as well as Vietnamese expatriates in Russia.
