Every minute counts in COVID-19 fight, stresses Deputy PM

VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam ordered Hai Duong Province to stay focused so as to stamp out the COVID-19 outbreak within ten days, emphasizing that every minute counts.

The order was made during his working session with leaders of the northern provinces of Hai Duong and Quang Ninh on Friday afternoon.

With two days gone, Hai Duong has eight days left, thus every minute counts, emphasized Dam, who is Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

He hailed the efforts made by the two localities with support from the Ministry of Health in tracing and testing those who have come in contact with the detected COVID-19 cases.

Viet Nam confirmed 63 new COVID-19 patients on Friday, including 62 community-transmitted cases and one imported case, bringing the patient tally to 1,705 so far.

The same day, 18 patients were declared free of COVID-19, taking the total recoveries to 1,448./.
