EC President to visit VN next week

VGP – European Union President José Manuel Durão Barroso will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from August 25-26, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit, which will be made at the invitation of PM Nguyen Tan Dung, aims to enhance the multifaceted relations between Viet Nam and the European Union.

Both sides will discuss measures to step up the bilateral ties, especially in economy, trade, investment and exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern.

During his stay in Viet Nam, the EC President is expected to hold talks with PM Dung and meet with other high-ranking leaders of the country./.
