East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Week to be hold in Đà Nẵng in Sept. 2007

VNGOVNet – The PM has just agreed with the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to organize the EWEC Week scheduled in early September 2007 in Đà Nẵng. Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Phạm Gia Khiêm will preside over the solemn opening ceremony and some major activities during the EWEC Week.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was assigned to be the main implementer and coordinator of all activities relating to the EWEC Week. The Ministry will collaborate with the Đà Nẵng City People’s Committee and the relevant ministries, sectors and local authorities in preparing the major events (opening ceremony, EWEC Forum on Cooperation in Investment, Trade and Tourism) and the propagation work. They will also work with the Ministry of Finance to estimate the expense allocated from the State Budget for the EWEC Week.

The Đà Nẵng City People’s Committee will be in charge of preparatory and logistics work; and cooperate with the concerned ministries, sectors and local authorities in organizaing the EWEC Trade and Tourism Fair as well as a caravan along the EWEC.
