EADS to build space center in Đà Nẵng in 2011

VGP - During the recent visit to Việt Nam’s central city of Đà Nẵng, leaders of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) asserted that they would build an aeronautic and space park here.

The project is scheduled to start in 2011. Its first phase focuses on assembling aircraft components. In the second phase, plants will be built for manufacturing these products, especially plane covers and bodies, the EADS leaders said.

Trần Văn Minh, Chairman of the Đà Nẵng People’s Committee, said the city will create most favorable conditions for such important projects to be implemented in order to help foster Việt Nam’s space industry and the city’s socio-economic development.
