Dues paid to UPOV come from State budget

VNGOVNet – Following the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed on February 5 to use State budget for paying dues to the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV).

The MARD and the Ministry of Finance will work out the amount of payment using MARD budget in accordance with the Law on State budget.

The UPOV is an inter-governmental organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, working to offer and promote protection of new plant varieties as well as encourage their use to benefit society.
