DPRK’s Foreign Minister starts official visit to VN tomorrow

VGP - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong Ho will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from November 29-December 2, 2018, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit is made at the invitation of Vietnamese Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh. 

During the official visit to Viet Nam, Mr. Ri Yong Ho is scheduled to hold talks with Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh and pay courtesy visits to Vietnamese senior leaders. 

Viet Nam and the DPRK officially set up diplomatic ties on January 31, 1950. 

Recent high-ranking visits between the two nations over the recent years include former State President Tran Duc Luong’s visit to DPRK in 2002, former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh’s visit to DPRK in 2007, former Minister of Public Security Le Hong Anh’s visit to DPRK in 2008, Korean Premier Kim Yong Il’s visit to Viet Nam in 2007 and Korean FM Pak Ui-Chun’s official visit to Viet Nam in 2008.
