DPM: VN attaches importance to anti-corruption works

VGP – Viet Nam attaches importance to anti-corruption works, regarding it as a crucial and prioritized task to establish a professional, modern, effective, responsible and transparent administration.

Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh made that statement at his reception for Deputy Head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Russian President Alexander Anikin in Ha Noi on February 18. 

The Vietnamese Government and people highly value the friendship and cooperative relations with Russia, he asserted, adding that the political relations between the two sides have been strengthened through usual delegation exchanges and bilateral meetings, especially at high-ranking level and consultancy and strategic dialogues. 

He spoke highly of the cooperation between the Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam and the Anti-Corruption Department of the Russian President, including realistic and effective activities to exchange and share information and experiences in struggling against corruption. 

The Vietnamese Government encourages and facilitates the two agencies to promote anti-corruption cooperation, exchange experience to complete institution, policies and laws to deepen Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, said the Vietnamese Deputy PM. 

He expressed his hope that the two sides will soon upgrade the memorandum of understanding in the upcoming time. 

Mr. Alexander Anikin expected that the fruitful bilateral relationship will pave the way for the two agencies to enhance cooperation in fighting against corruption, carry out more visits and working sessions and create more dialogue mechanisms to tackle joint issues.
