DPM receives Polish guest

VGP – Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh on Tuesday in Ha Noi hosted a reception to visiting Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament Jerzy Wenderlich.

Deputy PM Minh suggested Poland early ratify the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) signed by Viet Nam and the EU in Brussels on June 27, 2012. 

The host leader also took the occasion to seek Poland’s support for the negotiations for a free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the EU.

Mr. Minh welcomed Polish investment in Viet Nam which is focusing on economic restructuring and shifting of growth model especially in the areas of science and technology.

For his part, the Deputy Speaker said that in spite of geographic distances, the friendship between Viet Nam and Poland has been strengthened.

According to Mr.  Jerzy Wenderlich, the US$ 1 billion trade volume in 2013 represented an encouraging figure.

Poland, said the guest leader stands ready to share technological know-how of environmental protection and preferential credits for Viet Nam.

 The same day, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan held talks with Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament Jerzy Wenderlich to boost the relations between the two legislative bodies./.
