DPM Minh meets with new Ambassadors

VGP – Viet Nam will create favorable conditions for new Ambassadors of Thailand and Pakistan to fulfill their office terms, affirmed Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh.

The Deputy PM, FM made the statement while receiving Thai Ambassador Panyarak Poolthup and Pakistani Ambassador Zaigham Uddin Azam in Ha Noi on Friday.

During his meeting with the Thai Ambassador, Deputy PM, FM Minh expressed his hope that the situation in Thailand would soon stabilize.

The Deputy PM, FM suggested both countries should maintain the exchange of high-level meetings and contacts and promote the bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

Both sides should convene the 3rd Viet Nam-Thailand Joint Cabinet meeting and sign the action program to realize the strategic partnership set up in November last year.

The two countries will strive to lift up the two-way trade value to US$15 billion by 2020 and beef up the signing of agreements on labor, sports, science and technology.

Deputy PM, FM Minh also asked the two countries to continue mutual support at regional and international forums.

Meeting with the Pakistani diplomat, Deputy PM, FM Minh called for enhanced exchange of delegations at all levels and early conclusion of agreements on security, culture, and sports.

The two countries should strive to raise the two-way trade value to US$500 million in the years to come./.
