DPM greets Lao chief judge

VGP – Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh hosted a reception for Chief Judge of the Lao Supreme People's Court Khampha Sengdara who was on a working visit to Viet Nam on July 15 in Ha Noi.

Deputy PM Binh congratulated Mr. Khampha Sengdara on his recent election as the Chief Judge of the Lao Supreme People's Court. 

The host leader expressed the pleasure to witness the developments in the bilateral ties in general and the two countries’ supreme and provincial courts in particular. 

Mr. Binh suggested the two sides should beef up dissemination to help their people, especially young generations, have better understanding about this special relationship. 

Deputy PM Binh highlighted the importance of the court system in building a law-ruled state, and protecting justice and human rights in each country. He called on the two sides maintain cooperation in training and increase the sharing of experience. 

In reply, the guest briefed the host of cooperation activities between the two supreme courts and his delegation’s activities during the working visit to Viet Nam.

Mr. Khampha Sengdara expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for the two courts to organize more visits and sign more cooperation agreements. 

He took the occasion to thank Viet Nam for training Lao court officials over the past time and supporting Laos to host an upcomingcourt conference of Viet Nam-Laos-Cambodia border localities in Laos./.
