Dialogue offers opportunities for Vietnamese, EU businesses

PM Dung affirmed that the Viet Nam – EU free trade agreement (FTA), which both countries’ leaders are determined to conclude as soon as possible , will create big chances for both countries’ businesses.

Answering Belgian businessmen about Viet Nam’s priorities in international integration and market opening, PM Dung stressed that after joining the World Trade Organization and eight FTAs, Viet Nam is negotiating for other six FTAs, including the Viet Nam – EU FTA and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, saying that the country has opened the door in all fields to foreign businesses as committed.

Infrastructure development is one of three breakthrough priorities to ensure fast and sustainable development for Viet Nam’s economy, and Belgian businesses are encouraged to invest in this prioritized area, particularly in transportation facilities, sea ports, railways and hospitals in the public-private partnership model, PM Dung said.

He added that Viet Nam is ready for concluding the Viet Nam – EU FTA and an early conclusion will bring interests for both sides.
