Decree on functions, tasks of Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism

The MCST, an agency under the charge of the Government, monitors cultural, family, sport and tourist affairs within the national scope and manages public services within sectors and areas in the ministry’s State management scope.

The Ministry has the rights to grant and retrieve licenses on performing and organizing art, beauty and fashion performances, issue and trade records of dancing and music.

The MCST organizes international and national film festivals in Viet Nam, approves the organization of film festivals and foreign film days in Viet Nam and Viet Nam film days in foreign countries, monitors the restore of films, documents and images and foreign films to broadcast in Viet Nam as well as provides and retrieves licenses in the film sector.

The ministry guides the supply, cooperation, order, use and guaranty of copyrights for masterpieces and performances, grant, re-issue and cancel the effect of the copyright register certificate and supervision activities on copyright.
