Đà Nẵng ceases licensing environment-damaging projects
VGP - The central city of Đà Nẵng has decided to cease licensing projects on afforestation and aquaculture, those within the Sơn Trà Peninsula, and those which can cause environmental pollution.

The
municipal authorities have also instructed relevant agencies and people to
intensify management and inspection over FDI projects regarding environmental
protection.

The
licensed project are also more closely monitored in terms of schedule, capital
contribution, labor recruitment and wildcat strikes.
The
Department of Planning and Investment is tasked to submit to the municipal
People’s Committee its proposals for revoking investment licenses if investors do
not carry out projects as scheduled.
