The two sides were unanimous in applying Euro 4 diesel standard to the bus system in Đà Nẵng for environmental protection.

Among the total € 16.4 million investment, KFW will finance €15 million through a preferential loan.

The project is supposed to be finished in 2015.

According to the design of Japanese consultancy firm Almec, the system will be built in the model of metro lines in Paris, running 83.7 km long, with nine intersections and 340 bus-stops.

Leaders of the city promised to cut public transport fees for workers, students, and pupils.

There are 50 buses, with 1,800 seats in total, operating along four routes in Đà Nẵng.

The construction of such an environmentally friendly public transport system is regarded as a big leap forward to convert Đà Nẵng into a city of environment in 2010.
