On the contrary to Hà Nội, food and related services, transport, telecommunication and post in the southern economic hub saw the highest escalation rate, but the prices of garments, footwear, cultural, sport and tourist services dropped.

According to the GSO, the country's CPI increase in the first four months is much lower than the same period last year (9.15%), mainly because of the shrinkage of production activities and domestic consumption.
