CPI in Ha Noi lowest in 12 years

VGP – Ha Noi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in April only increased 0.12% compared to the previous month and up 6.27% against the same period last year, according to the city’s statistics office.

Over the past four months, the CPI rose 1.15% against December 2013, lowest over the recent 12 years.

After decreasing in the previous months, the CPI slightly picked up thanks to the rise in prices of 10 out of 11 main commodity groups.

The prices of housing, electricity, water, fuel, and building materials reduced 1% compared to the previous month.

Other wise, the prices of garment, hats and footwear inched up 0.44%, followed by restaurants and food up 0.32% and transportation up 0.26%.

The prices of gold and the US$ went down 0.87% and 0.01%, respectively.
