CPI decreases 0.27% in November

VGP – The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in November decreased 0.27% compared to the previous month and saw a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, according to the General Statistics Office on November 24.

Among 11 commodities, four witnessed decreases in prices including restaurants and food services down 0.03%, housing and building materials down 0.74%, transportation down 2.75% and telecommunication down 0.02%.

The continuous reduction in petroleum price accounts for 0.24% in the CPI decrease in November.

The foodstuff price rose 0.12% compared to the previous month thanks to positive signs in rice exports.

Other commodities such as beverage and tobacco, garments, hats, footwear, equipments and interior decoration slightly increased from 0,03%-1,24%.

The prices of gold and US$ decreased 1.49% and 0.23%, respectively in comparison with previous month.
