Continuing solutions to attract and manage FDI

VGP – The PM has just asked ministries, agencies and local authorities to continue major policies and solutions proposed by the Government in Resolution 13/NQ-CP dated on April 7. 2009 on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) attraction and management.

Until November 2010, the total disbursed FDI reaches US$ 9.95 billion, up 9.9% compared to the same period of 2009 – Illustration photo
The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) was assigned to cooperate with other related agencies to push up the implementation of the policies, tasks and solutions mentioned in the Resolution.

According to the Foreign Investment Agency, under the MPI, in November only, US $950 million of FDI was disbursed, raising the total figure in the first eleven months to US $9.95 billion, 9.9% higher year on year.

Until November 20, the total registered FDI reached US $13.3 billion. In November, 74 new projects, worth of US$ 512 million, were registered.

Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province took the lead in attracting FDI with US $2.47 billion, then came Quảng Ninh Province (US $2.2 billion) and Hồ Chí Minh City (US $1.83 billion).
