Construction of the project started in May 2010 with total investment of US$40 million in the first phase. The hospital that has 200 sick-beds in the first phase and 300 ones in the second phase, is expected to reduce the overload in the capital of Cambodia.

Speaking at the ceremony, PM Dung lauded the economic and investment cooperation between the two nations in recent years, highlighting the projects invested by Vietnamese businesses, which has brought benefits and contributed to Cambodia’s socio-economic development.

The Vietnamese PM said he expects that the Vietnamese doctors and nurses working in the hospital will help promote the two countries’ relationship.

PM Hun Sen highly valued the success of the project, expressing his hope that the hospital will create an environment for the two sides’ doctors, physicians and professionals to share experience and knowledge.
