The overview of the Việt Nam–Japan Economic Cooperation Seminar in Tokyo, 2010
This is the first seminar held under FEC’s initiative since Việt Nam and Japan signed the bilateral economic partnership agreement in December 2008.

Addressing the seminar, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyễn Phú Bình stressed that Việt Nam always regards Japan as a strategic partner and wants to receive stronger cooperation from the Japanese government and people, especially in the fields of economy, trade and investment.

Japanese Professor Hiroyuki Yushita, Acting President of the Japan-Việt Nam Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, said Việt Nam has political stability, high economic growth, fine relations with Japan, and an important place in the Mekong region, so the country is an entrance for Japan and others to enter regional countries.

At the seminar, most of the Japanese business people recognized the Vietnamese government’s remarkable achievements in luring foreign investment, especially since the Economic Partnership Agreement took effect.

The second seminar will be held by FEC in April.
