Boosting cooperation between Việt Nam and Russia’s parties

VNGOP –At the invitation of the United Russia Party, a delegation of the Communist Party of Việt Nam led by its Politburo member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, Trương Tấn Sang, paid a visit to the Federation of Russia from June 18-20, 2008.

During the talk held on this occasion between Mr Sang and the Secretary of the United Russia Party General Council Presidium Vyacheslav Volodin, the two parties discussed measures to boost cooperation, that is an integral important part of Việt Nam-Russia bilateral relations. Mr Volodin stressed that Russia always considers Việt Nam as one of its prioritized partner .

In the meeting with Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Suvalov, the host and the guest agreed that Việt Nam and Russia will exert efforts to reinforce the bilateral strategic partnership through strengthening cooperation in the fields of oil and gas, electricity, trade, investment, culture, science, education and training.

During his trip, Mr Trương Tấn Sang also worked with leaders of Russian oil and gas groups Gazprom and Zarubezhneff.
