Best business and service enterprises honored

This is the second time the Ministry of Industry and Trade conferred the title to the enterprises with best performance. The event also marked the second year since Việt Nam joined the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The prize was designed to honor domestic enterprises and foreign-invested ones engaging in trade and service areas, which are Việt Nam's commitments to the WTO, including information, construction and related services, distribution, education, environment, finance, health and social services, tourism and related services, entertainment culture and sports, transport, and general business.

The prize winners were picked out from 500 candidates suggested by provincial departments of industry and trade, departments of planning and investment, business associations and corporations throughout the country.

Apart from good performance and high growth rates, they also actively engaged in social affairs, legally operated on the basis of clear development strategies.

The Top Trade Services Awards 2008 is organized annually. In 2009, the Organizing Board will adjust norms for each business field in accordance with current economic difficulties.
