The Vietnamese southern metropolis is developing metro line No. 1 linking Ben Thanh market in District 1 and Suoi Tien Tourist Park in District 9, he said, adding that other metro projects are undertaking land clearance and seeking experienced investors.

Ho Chi Minh City pledged to create the best possible conditions for the Belarusian side to examine investment projects in the city, he said.

In turn, Deputy Industry Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Ogorodnhik said  Belarusian businesses want to cooperate with Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (SAMCO) which specialises in bus manufacturing, to address public transport problems in Ho Chi Minh City.
