More and more clients look towards Banknetvn-Smartlink services

The payment system is established among five members of Banknetvn (Việt Nam National Financial Switching Joint-stock Company) and Smartlink (Smartlink Card Services Joint Stock Co.): Vietcombank, AgriBank, BIDV, VietinBank, and TechcomBank.

Through Banknetvn-Smartlink connection, a card holder of one of those above banks can do transactions at ATMs of other four banks. The event marks a new development in card payment services offered by Vietnamese banks, paving the way for the formation of a nationwide e-payment net in the near future.

SBV Deputy Governor Nguyễn Toàn Thắng revealed that the total number of ATMs in the system has reached 3,600 and 8.6 million cards issued, respectively accounting for 64% and 80% of the domestic market share.
