Bac Ninh recognised as first-class city

Bac Ninh city is the central city of Bac Ninh province, covering an area of 83 square kilometers, with the population density of over 6,000 people per square kilometer.

With its advantageous geographical location, 30 kilometers away from Ha Noi and Noi Bai International Airport, Bac Ninh city serves as an important bridge between Ha Noi and northern provinces, whilst lying along the Viet Nam-China economic corridor and within the Ha Noi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh growth triangle. 

The city has developed a system of roads, railways and inland waterways which are favorable for goods production and circulation; the attraction of investment in the fields of trade, service, industry and small craft industry, towards high technology; and tourism development.

Bac Ninh city has made important contributions and served as a driver for Bac Ninh province’s vigorous development over the past few years. It is considered a young, dynamic and creative city, which is planned in a synchronous and organized manner, towards modernity, sustainability and a smart city imbued with cultural identities. 

Bac Ninh city currently has two industrial parks, namely Que Vo Industrial Park and Nam Son-Hap Linh Industrial Zone, and five industrial clusters and craft villages. The city’s trade and service sectors have recorded vibrant development, especially financial, training, medical, accommodation anddining services. The local social and technical infrastructure has been developed in a synchronous fashion, possessing elements constituting a smart city in the future. 

In addition, the city has also paid attention to maintaining social order and political security, thereby creating favorable conditions for business and investment activities across the locality. 

In the coming years, Bac Ninh is determined to  focus on improving the quality of growth, and building Bac Ninh into a civilized, modern city imbued with cultural identities, towards the knowledge-based economy and a smart city.
