Australian Senate President embarks on official visit to VN

VGP – Australian Senate President Scott Ryan and a high-ranking delegation started an official visit to Viet Nam from January 20-25 at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on January 20.

Viet Nam and Australia set up diplomatic ties in 1973. The Viet Nam-Australia Comprehensive Partnership was founded in 2009 and enhanced in 2015.

The two countries elevated their bilateral relationship to a Strategic Partnership in March 2018 during PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to Australia./.
