Australian Government opens 2015-16 Direct Aid Program

VGP - The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City has announced the opening of applications for the Australian Government’s Direct Aid Program (DAP) funding in 2015-2016, for projects in Central and Southern Viet Nam.

September 09, 2015 10:41 AM GMT+7
The program provides grants to NGOs, community groups and other not-for-profit entities to undertake small-scale development projects.

The program funds projects that provide direct benefits to those most in need in the local community, including vulnerable or disadvantaged groups.

The deadline for applications is Friday October 9, 2015.

The objective of DAP is to make small grants available to those organisations that may not have access to larger-scale aid or grants programs.

In the 2015-2016 grant round, total DAP grants awarded by the Australian Consulate-General is expected to total approximately US$246,000 (AU$355,000).

In addition, Australia will provide an estimated US$62.3 million (AU$89.9 million) in Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Viet Nam in 2015-16.

Guidelines and application forms for the 2015-2016 DAP grants are available at: http://dfat.gov.au/about-us/our-locations/missions/Pages/australian-consulate-general-in-ho-chi-minh-city-vietnam.aspx
