Australian bank opens rep office in VN

VGP - The National Australia Bank opened a representative office in Viet Nam on October 1 in a bid to expand its network in Asia.

The office is on the 14th Floor of the Cornerstone office building at 16 Phan Chu Trinh, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi.

It will function as a liaison office and do market research, promoting investment projects in Viet Nam, boosting and supervising the implementation of contracts and agreements between the bank and Vietnamese credit organizations and enterprises and its sponsored projects in Viet Nam.

The opening of the office is an important landmark for the bank, constituting its pledge to enhance its presence in Asia to meet the demand of customers in the region.

Director General of the National Australia Bank in Asia, Daryl Johnson, stressed that the bank pledged to support customers in Asia to take advantage of domestic markets as well as supporting them to expand to new markets.

He said that as a leading retailer bank in Australia, the National Australia Bank has in-depth experiences in all sectors from infrastructure, energy, to agricultural services.

National Australia Bank has more than 150 years of experience with 42,000 staff, serving more than 12.4 million customers in over 1,800 transaction offices and global services centers.
