ASOCIO Summit 2010 to take place in VN next week

VGP – The 2010 Summit of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) will take place in Việt Nam on June 17-20, according to Việt Nam Software Association (VINASA).

This annual event provides an effective platform for 22 member economies to share information, consolidate confidence, develop partnership, and seek new investment opportunities relating to information and communication technologies (ICT).

Key activities will mainly take place in Hà Nội and the world heritage city of Hạ Long of the northern province of Quảng Ninh.

The participants will also attend a seminar on public-business partnership for ICT development.

Some 60 high-ranking managers from 21 member economies’ professional associations and businesses have confirmed their participation.

The delegates are expected to meet with the Vietnamese Government’s senior officials and leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

The Summit is a unique chance for Việt Nam to introduce to the world potentials of its information technology sector, particular software industry, as well as the outstanding achievements during the past years of renovation (Đổi mới).
