ASEAN strongly condemns downing of Flight MH 17

They expressed their shock at the tragic deaths of 298 people of multiple nationalities on board the airline.

Flight MH17 was flying over non-restricted air space, and following a flight path which had been declared safety by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

ASEAN countries called for a full, independent and transparent investigation into the catastrophe./.
