ALSTOM Transport wishes to invest in metro system in Hà Nội

The ALSOM official made the statement in his working session with leaders of Hà Nội on August 7, emphasizing that the company is very interested in projects on building metro system in Hà Nội. He affirmed that ALSTOM Transport would continue to realize its commitments and want to have opportunities to become the major supplier of  equipment for Hà Nội’s projects on urban railway.

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Khôi, Vice Chairman of the Hà Nội People’s Committee, told the guest that the Vietnamese PM had approved a master plan for Hà Nội’s transportation and ordered the municipal authority to create favorable conditions and urge consultants to push up metro projects.

As revealed by Mr. Khôi, the basic design report for the project on Hà Nội Station-Nhổn metro route, requiring the total investment capital of €500 million, must be completed within October this year.

The Hoàn Kiếm Lake-Thăng Long Bridge route, worth of US $1.2 billion, is also requested to be completed in October.

The Ngọc Khánh-Láng-Hòa Lạc T-junction route is being actively carried out by Malaysian consultant.

Entering Việt Nam in 1989, ALSTOM Transport has so far conducted many important projects on electricity generation and railway equipment provision.
