All trapped workers rescued

VGP – Rescue forces on Friday afternoon have taken 12 workers out of the collapsed tunnel of the Da Dang-Dachomo hydropower plant, much earlier than expected.

All the workers who were trapped underground for the past four days are in good spirit, rescuers said.

On Thursday, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai flew to the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong to direct the rescue work.

After inspecting the site, Deputy PM Hai called for best personnel and equipment to speed up the search and rescue efforts./.
