Agriculture-aquatic-forestry exports hit US$20bln in H1

VGP – Viet Nam gained US$19.75 billion from exporting agricultural -forestry-aquatic products in the first half of 2019, a year-on-year increase of 2.1%, according to the recent information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The exports of agricultural products reached US$9.33 billion, down 8.8% while the exports of livestock, aquatic and forestry products saw respective increases of 1.8%, 0.7% and 21.2%, attaining US$311 million, US$4 billion and US$5.27 billion. 

Over the recent six months of 2019, the sector reported a growth of 2.7-2.9% compared to the same period last year, of which the agriculture, forestry and aquatic sectors announced the respective growths of 1.68%, 4.53% and 6.5%.
