Agri-forestry-aquatic exports up 13.1% in H1

VGP – The exports of agricultural-forestry-aquatic products in June reached US$2.97 billion, raising the total export value in the first half of the year to US$17.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The nation gained US$9.1 billion, US$3.5 billion and US$3.8 billion from exporting agricultural, aquatic and forestry products, witnessing respective increases of 15.4%, 14.1% and 12.8% against the same period last year.

Fruits and vegetables exports saw remarkable rise of 44.6%, attaining US$1.7 billion in the first half. China, the U.S., Japan and the Republic of Korea were the largest fruits and vegetables importers of Viet Nam, accounting for 84.7%.

The export value of rubber in June was estimated at US$158 million, bringing the total export value in six months to US$867 million, up 5% in volume and up 58.6% in value.

Viet Nam earned US$1.2 billion from exporting 2.8 million tons of rice in six months, up 6.3% in volume and 4.9% in value.

The export values of aquatic and forestry products in June obtained US$653 million and US$609 million, respectively.
