Additional 1,898 COVID-19 cases confirmed

VGP – There were 1,898 further infection cases confirmed by the Ministry of Health this evening, raising the COVID-19 tally on Friday to 3,336.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 1 to July 16

The latest patients include 15 imported cases, fourteen of them are Vietnamese returnees and one is American national.

All the others are domestic infections in Ho Chi Minh City (1,349), Tien Giang (146), Binh Duong (113), Dong Thap (92), Da Nang (39), Tay Ninh (33), Phu Yen (22), Hung Yen (15), Vinh Long (13), Can Tho (11), Nghe An (10), Binh Thuan (9), Bac Ninh (7), Quang Ngai (4), Ninh Thuan (3), Binh Phuoc (3), Ha Noi (3), Tra Vinh (2), Ca Mau (2), Bac Giang (2), Thanh Hoa (1), Lam Dong (1), Lao Cai (1), Dak Lak (1), and Vinh Phuc (1). Of these, 1,665 cases were recorded in quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

These cases bring the national patient tally to 44,186, according to the ministry.

The same day, the ministry also announced 332 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recovered cases to 10,020./.
