The Deputy PM authorized the SBV to be the main negotiator, work with relevant ministries and agencies to finalize necessary procedures and report the outcomes to the PM.

The loan program aims to promote SMEs which are accounting for 97% of registered enterprises in Việt Nam.

According to the Government’s assessment, SMEs play an important role in generating jobs, raising income for workers, mobilizing social strengths and greatly contributing to the State budget.

It is reported that since 2007, despite the global economic slum, the number of newly-registered SMEs has increased robustly. In 2009, around 85,000 new enterprises, up 30% against 2008, were established.

The Government is conducting major solutions to assist SMEs by facilitating their credit access and providing them with production sites./.
