The project would be implemented in the two biggest cities in the 2014-2016 period.

It aims to resolve interrupted power supply, reduce overloaded power, minimize power losses and raise electricity quality.

The project also targets to improve safety and stability for power networks in the two cities when the demands are projected to surge in the coming time.

The US$ 366.98 million project receives US$ 272.71 million of ODA from ADB and the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund (AIF). The EVN Ha Noi and EVN HCMC contributed US$ 94.27 million of corresponding capital./.
