A supportive body founded to boost VN-US bilateral trade agreement

VNGOP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng signed Decision 53/2007/QĐ-TTg on founding the Steering Board for the Technical Support Program to implement the Vietnam-US Bilateral Trade Agreement in 2007-2010.

The Board will discuss with the US partners specific contents of the Technical Support Program (TSP), other related bilateral agreements on trade and investment, and WTO commitments in the period of 2007-2011. It will also suggest policies and solutions to put the TSP into fruitful reality and submit them to the PM for approval.

The Board will help the PM direct and coordinate different ministries, sectors, agencies and provincial-level agencies in realizing the TSP. On the proposals of these entities, the Board will ratify and put forth "technical support requirements" to the US to conduct technical support activities in line with the TSP.
