Accordingly, the nation created 330,000 jobs for domestic laborers, equal to 97.3% of the same period last year and sent 28,000 laborers aboard, a year-on-year increase of 20% in the first three months of the year.

Head of the Department of Employment, under the MOLISA Le Kim Dung asserted that the ministry is striving to achieve the goal set by the National Assembly to create 1.49 million jobs in 2018.

In 2018, a total number of 100,000 jobs through the national fund will be formed. The proportion of trained laborers will reach 58-60% of the workforce and the proportion of unemployment in urban areas will be reduced under 4%.

To reach the goal, it is necessary to complete mechanisms and policies on employment, effectively launch employment programs and projects, enhance information about the labor market and improve capacity of employment service centers and realize unemployment insurance policies.

Other measures including the implementation of administrative procedure reform and application of information technology in employment will also be enhanced.
