The census serves as a basis for evaluating the implementation of the socioeconomic development plan for the 2021-2025 period, monitoring the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and formulating population and housing policies and socio-economic development for the 2026-2030 period, and monitoring the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The census will measure district-level demographic changes in five years from the last survey in 2019 to update population data and analyze population trends between 2020 to 2024.

The method used in the survey is computer-assisted personal interviewing, and the data to be collected comprise permanent residents, armed forces personnel, and foreigners living in households.

The census will encompass data on seven topics: demographic details of household members, migration status, marital status, education background, birth history of females aged from 10 to 49, deaths in households, and living conditions.

Three types of questionnaires will be employed to collect the data. Data collection will take place from April 1 to 30, and will be published between November and December 2024.

The complete results are expected to be published in November-December, with specialized analytical reports to be released in 2025./.
