Tran congratulated Cuba on its crucial achievements amidst challenges and difficulties, affirming Viet Nam's consistent stance of enhancing solidarity and advocating Cuba.

Viet Nam protests and calls for an end to the policy of blockade and embargo against Cuba in all forms, he underlined.

Viet Nam believes that Cuba, with its indomitable heroic tradition, will overcome difficulties and challenges and gain greater achievements in development process, the Deputy PM said.

Bruno Rodriguez, for his part, hailed the significance of the Vietnamese Deputy PM's visit to Cuba, expecting that the visit will contribute to effectively implementing agreements reached by their senior leaders and create a new milestone in the history of Viet Nam-Cuba relations.

Both sides discussed measures to develop the friendship and cooperation ties between the two nations in a more extensive and comprehensive manner.

They vowed to bolster close coordination to prepare for high-ranking visits and contacts, promote existing dialogue and cooperation mechanism, and strengthen delegation exchanges between their agencies.

They emphasized the need to seek for solutions to boost trade and investment ties and collaboration in fields of agriculture, construction, education-health, pharmaceuticals, science-technology, culture-sports and people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides pledged to enhance stronger ties and mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums to which both nations are signatories, especially at the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

They shared their viewpoint of addressing international disputes via peaceful means on the basis of respecting international law and the UN Charter./.
