Xi made the affirmation at his meeting with Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Vuong Dinh Hue in Beijing on April 8.

China wishes and stands ready to advance and deepen cooperation between the two Parties and the two States, President Xi added.

Xi conveyed his greetings to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and congratulated on the socio-economic achievements that Viet Nam has gained under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong as the top leader.

Xi affirmed that China supports Viet Nam's development, stability, and successful construction of socialism.

He underscored the strategic significance of the agreement reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two States to build a Viet Nam-China Community with a shared future, which would open up a new chapter of cooperation between the two countries and contribute positively to peace and development in the region and the world.

Vuong, for his part, conveyed greetings of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other senior Vietnamese leaders to General Secretary and President Xi, congratulating on China on its great and historic achievements.

The top Vietnamese legislator expressed his hope that China will make significant contributions to peace, cooperation and development.

Vuong suggested both sides consolidate and strengthen political trust, enhance high-level conctacts, effectively implement exchanges and cooperation through the Party, Government, Parliament, and Fatherland Front channels and in important fields like diplomacy, public security, and defense.

Both sides should enhance strategic connectivity and create new impetus for bilateral cooperation, with a focus on promoting trade, transport connectivity, financial, monetary and digital transformation cooperation, Vuong said.

President Xi affirmed China is ready to work with Viet Nam to maintain strategic exchanges, boost contacts at high all levels, broaden exchanges and cooperation through the Party channel, speed up strategic connectivity, particuarly railway connectivity, smart bordergate construction, enhance cooperation in digital economy, green energy, and newly emerging sectors. He also welcomed Viet Nam's engagement in China's inter-regional development strategies.

The two leaders expresed their pleasure at the positive growth pace of the Viet Nam-China relations. Vuong reassured that developing relations with China remains a strategic choice and a top priority in Viet Nam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification. Vuong also affirmed Viet Nam's consistent support for one-China policy./.
