Gov’t starts simplification of 258 administrative procedures
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng last week approved a resolution on simplifying first 258 administrative procedures in prioritized areas, especially tax, customs, notary services, medical check-up, and construction.

The resolution of social and political importance is expected to realize the Government’s drastic actions to phase out over 5,000 unnecessary administrative procedures in the coming time.
Specifically, the Ministry of Finance will cut 61 administrative procedures on customs and tax.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment will streamline 22 administrative procedures, the Ministry of Health 18, the State Bank of Việt Nam 15, the Ministry of Industry and Trade 4, the Ministry of Education and Training 4, and the Ministry of Transport 7.
The simplification of administrative procedures will help to reduce time, minimize red-tapes for both people and enterprises, offer open and comfortable business climate, and save at least VND 5,700 billion./.
